Baltic Countries

The Baltic Countries refer to three northeastern European nations: Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania. They are located on the eastern shores of the Baltic Sea and are known for their distinct histories, cultures, and languages. Collectively, these countries gained independence from the Soviet Union in the early 1990s and are now members of the European Union and NATO. The Baltic region has a rich cultural heritage influenced by various periods of foreign dominion and has developed a unique identity that combines elements from both Eastern and Western Europe. The term “Baltic Countries” is often used in discussions of regional cooperation, economic issues, and geopolitical strategies in the context of European affairs.
